I spent my free day today browsing moderately priced antiques at one of my favorite hidden gems in Cambridge - the Cambridge Antique Market. It consists of five floor packed to the rafters with any type of antique you can imagine - books, jewelry, glassware, clothes, decor...the list goes on and on. Here are a few of my favorites.
A fancy little salt and pepper shaker that for some reason made me hungry for brunch.
A worn wooden box I can imagine stashing old photographs or ticket stubs in.
A perfect little cube radio that was crooning with jazz up on the fourth floor.
A simultaneously simple and ornate teacup with gold detail - I'm such a sucker for teacups but way too fond of my extra spending money to follow through.
Again, a much-too-expensive teacup I spent a solid three minutes lusting over. Black and white and gold are the perfect combination.
And my VERY favorite find of the day...and the one I took home with me...is the pale green counterpart to my favorite teacup, posted here last week. My heart literally leapt when I saw it and I had to refrain from skipping jubilantly to the register.
